Overview
The Manual Handling Awareness course is designed to help organizations protect the welfare of employees responsible for handling, lifting, and carrying items. According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), more than 20 percent of all non-fatal workplace injuries in the UK result from incorrect handling, lifting, and carrying. Most of these injuries are musculoskeletal, which are the third most common cause of absence from work, following stress and colds/flu.
